COSMETICS - One of the main advantages of a compounding pharmacy is the ability to create a customized treatment for an individual .  Compounding pharmacies can create a prescription that is all natural and fresh, and in most cases does not have to use additives. Also, since pharmacies are regulated more stringently than cosmetic manufacturers, especially in regards to labeling, you can be assured that you are getting exactly what has been prescribed. PAIN MANAGEMENT - Many patients experience stomach irritation or other unpleasant side effects from taking pain medication. Some have difficulty taking the medication in its commercially available form. Pharmacy compounding can provide alternate methods of delivery to make the process easier. Click here to find out more.

As your body ages it goes through  hormonal changes, your doctor may suggest the use of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) to better manage your symptoms. Bio-Identical hormones are plant derived and have the same chemical structures as the ones in your body. Click here to find out more.

PEDIATRICS - It’s no secret that most kids don’t like taking medicine. Taking medicine just seems to make it worse. But it doesn’t have to be that way. While there’s no guarantee that taking medicine ever will become an entirely pleasurable event, there are some ways to help. One of the best involves contemporary pharmacy compounding,  preparing customized medications for patients. From flavoring medications to make them taste better, to providing individualized strengths and dosage forms, compounding can help make medication time easier and less stressful for your child and you! ORAL HYGIENE - Working with your compounding pharmacist expands your options for managing pain, anxiety, gum disease, canker sores, and fever blisters. Commercially-produced medications offer limited choices of dosage size, strength, and delivery method. However, from oral pastes to anesthetic lollipops, we offer it all. Or perhaps a different flavor is all that is needed. Click here for more details.

ANDROPAUSE (FOR MEN) - Andropause refers to a slow but steady reduction of the production of androgen (testosterone) and dehydroepiandrosterone in the aging male. Typically levels begin to drop between your 40s and 50s but a decline can occur as early as your mid-30s at a rate of about 1-2% every year. Because most of the symptoms of andropause are related to declining hormone levels, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is an effective alternative to manage the symptoms associated with andropause. Your physician may also recommend certain lifestyle changes, such as a new diet or exercise program, or other medications to help with some of the symptoms of andropause.

Veterinary - As any pet owner is well aware, animals can be extremely difficult to treat with medications. Cats are notorious for refusing to swallow pills, and usually will eat right around one disguised in food. Dosages can be very tricky with dogs – a dose of medication that works for an 80-pound Golden Retriever may be far too much for a six-pound Yorkie to handle. Large and exotic pets pose many unique medication challenges. A compounding pharmacist is equipped to help them all! Click here for details.
